For pdfFiller’s FAQs
Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
To begin with, click View tab. Then choose Draft view. Next click References tab. And then click Show Notes option in Footnotes group. Now there shall be a note pane at the bottom of the screen whose size you can adjust. Make sure you select All Footnotes.
Probably the most common reason for this is that the page margins are set to narrow to accommodate the footnotes. The other item to check is the document's footnote settings. You have to make sure that the format you're using is set to show the footnotes.
Press Ctrl+F to display the Find tab of the Find and Replace dialog box. (See Figure 1.) In the Find What box, enter the text for which you want to search. To search for a footnote mark, enter ^f. Set other searching parameters, as desired. Click on Find Next.
Make sure the References tab is selected on the ribbon. Click the small downward-pointing arrow at the lower-right corner of the Footnotes group. Make sure the Footnotes radio button is selected. Change the Start At value to reflect where you want Word to start numbering.

Click where you want to reference to the footnote or endnote. On the References tab, select Insert Footnote or Insert Endnote. Enter what you want in the footnote or endnote. Return to your place in the document by double-clicking the number or symbol at the beginning of the note.
If you use a 12-point font for your main text, use a 10-point font for your footnotes. The footnote number is placed immediately after the word to which the footnote citation refers. If the footnote citation refers to a paragraph, then place the footnote number immediately after the final punctuation mark.
If the Insert Footnote button is grayed out, open the Footnote and Endnote dialog (click the small arrow in the bottom right of the Footnotes part of the References ribbon) and change the radio button to allow Footnotes instead of Endnotes.
