To un-encrypt a PDF file, follow these steps: 1) Locate the encrypted PDF file you want to unencrypt, and open it in Preview on your Mac. 3) Once you're in the file, go to File > Export from the Menu Bar. 4) Make sure to rename the file, then make sure the Encrypt option is unchecked.
Right-click on the locked PDF file. Select Open with Followed by Preview. Type the password and press Enter. The file is opened now. Enter the location to Save the locked PDF file, Uncheck the Encrypt option before saving the PDF document.
Open the PDF to convert. Tap the Share button in order to access the Share Sheet. Choose Run Workflow and select the PDF to Image conversion. Once you run this Workflow Action Extension, each page of the PDF is exported as a separate image file.
In the Preview app on your Mac, open the file, then choose File > Export. Click the Format pop-up menu, then choose a file type. Type a new name, or choose a new location for saving the converted file, then click Save.
Just right-click on the PDF file you wish to unprotect and select Open With followed by Preview. It will launch the file in Preview on your Mac. Since the file is password protected, the app should ask you to enter the password for the file before you can view its content.
