Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Gallagher (born 1979 or 1980) is a former United States Navy SEAL Special Warfare Operator who came to national attention in the United States after he was charged with war crimes. He was acquitted of most charges while being convicted of bringing disorder or discredit to the armed forces.
He first trained as a medic, before serving as a Marines' sniper scout and explosives expert. During 19 years of service as a Marine and later a Navy SEAL, Gallagher served eight tours of duty and received two Bronze Stars. During his service, Gallagher has also been the subject of multiple military investigations.
Chief Petty Officer Edward Gallagher was accused by men under his command of committing possible war crimes during his 2017 tour in Iraq. He was convicted of posing for photographs with the body of a teenage Islamic State captive in American custody and demoted from his position.
After two weeks of testimony, Chief Edward Gallagher was found not guilty of murdering a suspected ISIS prisoner in Iraq. The decorated Navy SEAL had been accused of stabbing the wounded teenage captive, as well as attempted murder of Iraqi civilians and obstruction of justice.
The estimated salary for a Navy SEAL -- with over a dozen years of experience and an E-7 pay grade -- is about $54,000, according to an estimate based on data from the Department of Defense.
One crack became obvious during trial, when, on the second day of witness testimony, a Navy SEAL Petty Officer 1st Class, Corey Scott, testified that after Gallagher stabbed a wounded ISIS fighter in the neck, Scott suffocated the fighter by covering his breathing tube.
The son of an Army officer, Gallagher enlisted in the Navy in 1999. He served as a Navy medic and in 2005 completed the brutally challenging Basic Underwater Demolition course to become a Navy SEAL, one of the most elite special operations forces in the U.S. military.
The Navy SEALs who served alongside Special Operations Chief Edward Gallagher described their platoon leader as “freaking evil” and “toxic,” according to new video recordings conducted by criminal investigators obtained by the New York Times.
