First open the Word document. Then click on the place within the document where you want the file to be inserted. Click on “Insert” tab located at the top. Click on the “Object” drop. Then choose the file to insert. Finally, click “Insert”.
Insert Word Document into Word Go to “Insert” tab > “Text” section > “Object” and then “Text from file”. Go to your folder and select the file you intend to insert. Then double-click on the file and watch the document get added.
Use the Go-To command (Ctrl + g) and under “Go to What” select “Object”. Alternately, select all (Ctrl + a), then click Shift + F9, which will show the highlighted field codes for the embedded objects.

Click or tap where you want to insert the content of the existing document. Go to Insert and select the arrow next to Object. Select Text from File. Locate the file that you want and then double-click it. To add in the contents of additional Word documents, repeat the above steps as needed.
