An easy way to find the area is to right-click the output raster that you just created, click Properties, click the Symbology tab, and note the Count for the pixels that are displayed. Click the Source tab and note the cell size and linear units.
Make sure your data is in a projection system. Next, select the polygon file that you want to calculate area on and right click. This will open up a menu of options for that layer. Select the Open Attribute Table to open up the associate attribute data for your polygon layer.
If the current map does not contain a polygon feature layer, add it. On the Edit tab, in the Features group, click Modify . Expand Construct and click Construct Polygons.
