For pdfFiller’s FAQs

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
The amount of ink used in a print is calculated by multiplying the dot quantity by the theoretical volume of each droplet. Modification of head voltages may result in larger or smaller droplet size.
Formula 04: The amount of production solvent= The amount of ink used x the solvent dilution rate of the color. The solvent dilution rate of the same overprint color is the average value of the balance of the color of the varnish.
Estimation of Ink consumption used for printing process; (S*P*A*N*K*S) / 353 = Ink required in Kg for a specific job. This is rough calculation to find the consumption for cost and estimation purpose.
Ink mileage = Total pages printed / Total ink consumed ; So ink mileage is inversely proportional ∝ to ink consumption, when we consume more ink then mileage drops.
The ink coverage is calculated at a resolution as defined in the at samples per inch field. The higher this value, the more accurate the ink coverage will be, but also the more time it takes to calculate. The default value is 75 samples per inch, which gives you a nice balance between speed and accuracy.
