Can you lock a PDF from being edited?
Open the Protection panel. 2. Click Encrypt, and select Encrypt With Password. Confirm that you want to change the security of the document.
How do I encrypt a file with a password?
Go to File > Info > Protect Document > Encrypt with Password.
Type a password, then type it again to confirm it.
Save the file to make sure the password takes effect.
How do you encrypt files on a Mac?
From the Apple menu, select System Preferences.
Go to the Security & Privacy pane.
Select the FileVault tab.
Click the lock to make changes and click the Turn On FileVault button.
