How to Password Protect PDF and Esign PDF on iOS

PDF documents are great for sharing, but they may contain sensitive information that not everyone should see. In this guide, you will learn how to add a password to your PDF document and electronically sign it using the pdfFiller for iOS app. You'll also learn how to send your signed document securely over email or cloud services.

Here are the steps to follow:

01
Open the pdfFiller app on your iOS device and select the PDF document you want to password protect and e-sign. You can import a document from your camera roll, iCloud, Dropbox, Google Drive, or any other cloud storage service.
02
Once your document is open, tap the "Password Protect" icon located on the top menu bar next to the "Edit" button.
03
In the "Set Password" window, type in the password you'd like to use to protect your document. You can choose a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols.
04
Confirm your password by typing it in again. Don't forget to add a hint to help you remember your password if you need it.
05
Tap "Save" to apply the password to your document. You'll notice a lock icon will appear next to the file name, indicating that your document is now password protected.
06
Now it's time to electronically sign your document. Tap the "ESign" icon located next to the "Password Protect" icon.
07
In the "Create Signature" window, you can create a new signature by drawing it on your device using your finger or upload an existing signature from your camera roll.
08
Once you have created or uploaded your signature, drag and drop it onto the document where you want to sign it. You can use two fingers to resize and adjust your signature to fit the space.
09
Tap "Save" on the signature window to save your signed document.
10
Finally, you can share your password protected and electronically signed document securely by email, fax, or any other cloud storage service directly from the pdfFiller app. Tap the "Send" button located on the top menu bar, select your preferred method of delivery, and follow the instructions on the screen.

Congratulations! You've successfully password protected and electronically signed your PDF document using the pdfFiller app on your iOS device. Now you can rest assured that your sensitive information is safely stored, and your document is legally binding and official.
