01
Open the PDF-XChange Editor software on your computer.
02
Click on the 'File' menu at the top left corner of the screen.
03
Select 'Open' from the drop-down menu and choose the PDF file you want to password protect.
04
Once the PDF file is opened, click on the 'Document' menu.

From the 'Document' menu, select 'Security' and then choose 'Password Security'.

A 'Password Security' window will appear. In this window, you can set various security options for your PDF file.

You can also set additional security options such as restricting printing, editing, and copying of the PDF file.
10
Once you have set the desired security options, click on the 'OK' button to apply the password protection to your PDF file.
11
Save the password-protected PDF file to your desired location on your computer.

Amazing customer experience Amazing customer experience! Their services are quick and efficient. I started with their Live Support Chat but was quickly connected to staff members who responded to me by emails. I had Marie and Anna to help me. They are all friendly and extremely helpful. They responded to my question quickly, and after I explained to them briefly what my issue was, they took care of the issue swiftly. Their software is easy to use. Thank you all so much again for your help! Keep up the excellent work you do!

Best Friendly user software It was great, very useful when it came to modify and add wordings to documents or even signatures. I like the availability to modify and edit your documents, it's very easy to use and it has so many features to get your documents corrected, sent, faxed, emailed and more. I didn't like when adding texts to your documents, sometimes it will freeze and close the program. Then again it was the free trial.
