Just started so not a lot of feedback yet. It would be nice to be able to review who I sent documents for e-signatures too, so that if I can determine whether or not I made a mistake and have to redo the whole document, or if I have to tell the client to look in their spam folder, or what. Thanks!

Would like to see a better way to organize/save files for easier opening. Would like to see a way to convert files to PDF as well. No need to send a follow-up survey, your system won't allow us to complete it without having a Facebook or Linkedin account...we know our own e-mail address and it won't accept it.

Can I renew my ITIN number myself?
To renew an expiring ITIN, send a completed Form W-7, Application for IRS Individual Taxpayer Identification Number and required identification documents to the IRS. If you received a CP48 or Letter 5821, attach it to the renewal when you submit the ITIN renewal application.

Do I have to pay to renew my PAIN?
There is no fee to obtain a PTIN.
Do I need to renew my ERIN every year?
Your IRS Electronic Filing Identification Number (ERIN) does not expire. Your IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number (PAIN) does expire every tax season. PTIN renewal occurs after October 15, and the identification number is valid through December 31 of the following year.
How do I know if my ERIN is active?
Click here and login to My Account.
On the left navigation menu, click Account, then select Account Details.
In the EFIN section, click the link to Check ERIN Status.
Can I prepare taxes without an ERIN?
Although there is no cost, the ERIN application process will require you to submit your fingerprints and undergo a suitability check (criminal history, tax debt history etc.). Without an ERIN, you cannot e-file tax returns or engage in any e-file activities (See IRS Publication 3112).
Can I get a PAIN after December 31?
PTINs expire annually, and if you currently have a PAIN, it will expire on December 31, 2019. Therefore, you must act on or before December 31, 2019, before preparing any tax returns in 2020. To renew your PAIN or obtain a PTIN if you do not presently have one visit www.irs.gov/ptin.
