If the picture have different aspect ratio, it'll be stretch when make background. The screen resolution concerns the number of pixels in a display (check here). The image resolution can refer to multiple concepts, but is used to describe the image detail (check here).
Pixel dimensions measure the total number of pixels along an image's width and height. Resolution is the fineness of detail in a bitmap image and is measured in pixels per inch (PPI). The more pixels per inch, the greater the resolution. ... Then change width, height, or resolution.
Print Resolution. Screen resolution is measured in PPI (pixels per inch) and print resolution is measured in DPI (dots per inch), though the terms are often used interchangeably. ... But if that same image is printed at full size, its inherent pixel blackness becomes readily apparent.
You can fit more pixels in a printed image than you can on a screen. Because of this, you should never print your images at the same resolution of your screen. These are typically 72 dpi (dots per inch), so you want to aim for anything between 300 and 1,800 dpi when printing.
Resolution refers to the number of pixels in an image. Resolution is sometimes identified by the width and height of the image as well as the total number of pixels in the image. For example, an image that is 2048 pixels wide and 1536 pixels high (2048 × 1536) contains (multiply) 3,145,728 pixels (or 3.1 Megapixels).
One of the main differences is with the resolution. The resolution determines the quality of your images; for printing resolution is measured with dots per inch (or DPI), and the measurements for web are pixels per inch (or PPI.) ... 72 dots per inch as sufficient for web designs.
PPI describes the resolution in pixels of a digital image whereas DPI describes the amount of ink dots on a printed image.
The term refers to the amount of detail an image holds and is measured in pixels per inch. The higher the resolution, the more pixels per inch. ... Image resolution has everything to do with printing your image, not how your images or photos looks on your computer screen.
Size your images for their use Don't confuse image size with file size. The resolution and quality of an image affects file size, and file size can affect effectiveness for a specific use. ... Likewise, if you use a small image and make it larger in a report, it will distort and become pixelated or fuzzy when you print it.
Image Size is the term given to describe the height and width of an image in pixels. Maximum Image Size is determined by the megapixels of a given camera — for example, a 10-megapixel camera will give a maximum image size of 2592 by 3872 pixels.
