At first, not good....too expensive for a one time use. Sarah's response was great and her instructions were, too. She convinced me to use the program gratis to see how it works. It was fantastic.

How do I find my employer's EIN number without a w2?
There is no public source to use to find a company's EIN. Your company is required to provide the EIN on your W2. You should always enter your wage information from your W2 and not from your pay stub. This reduces the chances that you will need to amend your tax return because of incomplete or missing information.
How do I find my previous employer's EIN?
Call the IRS If all else fails and you really cannot find your EIN on existing documents, you can reach out to the IRS by calling the Business & Specialty Tax Line at 800-829-4933. Make sure to call between the hours 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. local time.
Can you file taxes without EIN number?
Use Form 4852 If you haven't gotten the federal tax ID number by mid-April, you still must file your tax return. Use Form 4852, Substitute for Form W-2, to record what information you do have. It may take the IRS additional time to process your refund while they attempt to verify your employment information.
Is an EIN public record?
Your employer identification number (EIN), or VEIN, allows you to do business and report financial information to the Internal Revenue Service. However, an EIN number is a public record, making your company vulnerable to people who care less about your business.
How do I look up a business tax ID number?
The verification process for an authorized representative is simple. Call the IRS at (800) 829-4933. The IRS representative will request your identifying information. The representative will then give you the EIN number over the phone.
What is an unemployment ID number?
Once you have registered your business with the EDD, you will be issued an eight-digit employer payroll tax account number (example: 000-0000-0), also known as a State Employer Identification Number, SEEN, or state ID number.
Where can I find my EDD customer account number?
Online: Go to Ask EDD and select the category Unemployment Insurance Benefits, the sub category UI Online, and the topic EDD Customer Account Number.

California Employment Development Department (EDD): (888)-745-3886 Existing employers can find their EDD Account Number on the Quarterly Contribution Return and Report of Wages (Form DE-9/ DE-9c) or on any notices received from the California EDD.
Should I have tax withheld from unemployment?
You don't have to pay Social Security and Medicare taxes on your unemployment benefits, but you do have to report them on your tax return as income. You can choose to have income tax withheld from your unemployment benefits, if necessary, to avoid an unpleasant surprise next year when you file your return.
How many taxes do they take out of unemployment?
Federal income tax is withheld from unemployment benefits at a flat rate of 10%. Depending on the number of dependents you have, this might be more or less than what an employer would have withheld from your pay.
How do I change my tax withholding on unemployment?
Make the change on your weekly or biweekly claim form, if you have the option.
Submit your change online on your state unemployment agency's website, if available.
Is an an the same as a state tax ID?
The IRS is a national agency, so even if a business relocates and has to get a new state tax ID, its EIN will stay the same. An EIN serves as an identification number for a business, similar to the way a Social Security number identifies a person. A company generally uses a state tax ID solely for state tax reporting.
