How to Unlock and Password Protect PDFs on iOS

Unlocking and password protecting PDFs on your iOS device is a simple and secure way to keep your documents safe. Follow these steps to use the Unlock PDF and Password Protect PDF feature in pdfFiller:

Open the pdfFiller app on your iOS device.

Tap on the 'Unlock PDF' or 'Password Protect PDF' option from the main menu.

If you want to unlock a PDF, select the 'Unlock PDF' option. If you want to password protect a PDF, select the 'Password Protect PDF' option.

If you chose to unlock a PDF, tap on the 'Choose File' button to select the PDF file you want to unlock. If you chose to password protect a PDF, tap on the 'Choose File' button to select the PDF file you want to protect.

Once you have selected the PDF file, tap on the 'Unlock' or 'Protect' button to start the process.

If you chose to unlock a PDF, the app will remove the password from the PDF file and make it accessible. If you chose to password protect a PDF, you will be prompted to enter a password for the PDF file.

After the process is complete, you can access the unlocked PDF or the password protected PDF from the app's main menu.

To view the unlocked PDF, simply tap on it from the main menu. To view the password protected PDF, tap on it and enter the password you set.

Click on File Tab and Open Properties. Now Click on Permission Details and open Security Tab. Check the No Security option. Click on Remove Password in Security Method menu.
Choose Tools > Protect > Encrypt > Remove Security. Remove Security: The options vary depending on the type of password security attached to the document. If the document has a Document Open password, click OK to remove it from the document.
Once the PDF file opens in Documents app, tap on the Menu button (three dots) in the top right corner to bring up menu at the lower section of your iPhone screen. Choose Set Password. Then type in the same password twice. Finally, hit the Set button to confirm and encrypt your PDF file on iPhone or iPad.
